The game X-Men Destiny takes to the beginning of the story where Charles Xavier is dead and you are in San Francisco at a memorial peace rally for the departed ex-leader of the X-Men team. Obviously, soon the hell breaks and you realize of your mutant powers and then set off to a mission in which you kick the ass of the bad people.
The X-Men franchise had always contained some common themes like division and alienation in every varying product of it. You will find all these themes in Destiny as well. You have to choose one of the three characters which are like the pre-set. These characters include a former member of the purifiers, a stowaway teenager or a football player. In the game during the rally things get nasty at one point and it is when you realize of your powers. You also get to choose any of the following set of powers- Shadow master manipulation (similar powers as that of the night crawler), tree of progression which is based on energy or the brawling fighting style.

Unlock fighting techniques
You will be able to unlock different types of fighting techniques and styles depending on the type of mutant powers you have chosen. The unlocking powers and features include increased health, power extensions and increased mutant powers. You will be surprised (as I was too); you actually get to customize your powers and abilities! This certainly adds more dimensions to the fighting and playing. However, unfortunately most of the abilities customization is static.
You can wear different types of suites for attaining different powers and these help you extend your abilities and powers. You can also take help of X-genes which can either provide offensive or defensive additional abilities. If you are uncomfortable with any suit or a X-gene you can easily get rid of them in a jiff too.
In the game, you control your favorite mutant and fight with it up to seven chapters. Each chapter will take approximately 75 minutes. As you come face to face with different enemies you get to kick their asses with the X or Y buttons. The X button will render a medium powered attack while the Y button will launch a highly powered attack. The Y attack varies depending on the type of power y0ou currently have.
In the end of every chapter there is one boss battle. Unfortunately, mowing the boss in every chapter requires almost similar kind of technique- Attack the boss constantly and lower the level of his power to half and then a cut scene will appear, after that you have to trigger the command and repeat. The next moment what you will see is the ghastly boss lying dead on the floor.
The graphics are overall of mixed clarity and quality in the game. You will see that some characters are designed well while some are not. However, the game is not that addictive to be replayed from the beginning after you have completed the game.
